They’ve been exposed to dwarf Nigerian goats, chickens, rabbits, piglets, ducks, mini donkeys, mini horses, mini cows, and more. They’re already showing natural guardian instincts while also being well-socialized with people.
 
Ready to go:
• Pets: April 15, 2026 (6 weeks)
• LGD homes: May 27, 2026 (12 weeks)

• They bark—a lot, especially at night
• They are naturally nocturnal (sleep during the day, patrol at night)
• They will wander if not properly fenced

We do socialize with people, which creates a more well-rounded dog. Some prefer minimal human interaction for strict working dogs, but we’ve found this balance produces confident, reliable guardians that can also be handled when needed.

  • Hartland Oaks Puppy Refund Policy

    We are committed to ensuring the health and happiness of both our puppies and their new families. To maintain transparency and fairness, we’ve established the following refund policy:

    Refunds Before Pickup

    • Reservation Deposits:
      • Reservation deposits are non-refundable unless Hartland Oaks is unable to provide the puppy due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., health issues or unavailability).
    • If you need to cancel your purchase prior to pickup, any additional payments made (beyond the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded.

    Refunds After Pickup

    Once the puppy has left Hartland Oaks, the following conditions apply:

    • Health Guarantee:

      • If a certified veterinarian determines within 72 hours of pickup that the puppy has a pre-existing, serious health condition, we will offer:
        • Exchange: You may exchange the puppy for another available puppy, if possible.
        • Full Refund: A full refund will be provided upon return of the puppy and documentation from the veterinarian.
      • This guarantee does not cover minor issues, injuries incurred after pickup, or conditions resulting from improper care.

    • No Refunds for Lifestyle Mismatches:

      • We strongly encourage potential buyers to research Great Pyrenees’ needs and ensure they align with their lifestyle. Refunds will not be provided for issues related to temperament, training difficulties, or incompatibility with the buyer's living situation.

    • Return-to-Breeder Option:

      • If at any time you are unable to care for your puppy, Hartland Oaks will gladly accept the puppy back, no questions asked.
      • Refunds will not be issued under these circumstances; however, we prioritize the puppy’s well-being and will assist in rehoming them responsibly.

    Microchip and Additional Fees

    • Fees for microchipping or additional services are non-refundable once the service has been completed.

    By purchasing a puppy from Hartland Oaks, you acknowledge and agree to this refund policy. We are always here to answer any questions or provide guidance to ensure your new furry family member transitions smoothly into their forever home.
