Mabel is our mini Hereford × mini Belted Galloway girl, born August 17, 2025. Her dad is our well-known T-Bone, and she has been part of Hartland Oaks since she was a tiny bottle baby.

Mabel has been attending petting zoos since she was just a couple of weeks old, so she has had an incredible amount of exposure and socialization. She has been around goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, other cattle, and more, along with crowds, children, adults, noise, travel, and all the activity that comes with our events.

She is very sweet, approachable, loves being brushed, and is halter broke—although she can absolutely put on the brakes when she decides she's feeling lazy.  She's even been dressed in costumes for events and has always been a good sport about our nonsense.

Mabel has historically been wonderful with both adults and children. However, as she has gotten bigger, we've noticed over the past month that she has started using her head to push her way through smaller children. She isn't being aggressive, but she is still a cow with size and strength behind her, so we want to be completely transparent about that.

This is a very difficult sale for us. We don't want to sell Mabel. She has simply grown to the point that she has outgrown her purpose on our farm and with our mobile events. With Hartland Oaks downsizing, we have to make the decisions that make the most sense for both our animals and our farm.

Mabel is ready for her next chapter and a new hobby-farm pasture to call home—somewhere she can be enjoyed, brushed, spoiled, and appreciated for the sweet girl she is.
