At Hartland Oaks, we offer immersive, hands-on educational experiences tailored for homeschool groups, school field trips, daycares, scouts, co-ops, and other learning communities.
Our farm-based curriculum brings science, agriculture, and animal care to life in a way textbooks never could.
Programs Include:
Animal Education Stations – Learn about goats, donkeys, rabbits, pigs, chickens, ducks, miniature cows, and more. Kids get to touch, feed, and interact while learning about breeds, habitats, and care.
Farm Chores for a Day – Students can participate in age-appropriate farm duties like collecting eggs, feeding animals, brushing donkeys, or gathering hay.
Agriculture & Homestead Lessons – Hands-on mini-lessons in composting, gardening, chicken life cycles, hatching quail, goat milk production, and more.
Farm-Themed Storytime & Crafts – Perfect for younger groups; includes story readings (featuring Hartland Oaks' very own animals) and simple take-home crafts.
Custom Experiences – We tailor visits to fit your group’s age range, learning goals, or special needs.
Program Details: Available for ages 3+ Groups of all sizes welcome Aligned with educational standards where possible Programs run approximately 2 hours.

Educational Farm Experiences On-Site
I understand that visiting and participating in activities at Hartland Oaks involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Animal bites, kicks, scratches, pecking, trampling, or other unpredictable animal behavior
- Slips, trips, falls, uneven ground, mud, holes, fencing, farm equipment, or natural hazards
- Allergic reactions to animals, hay, feed, insects, plants, or outdoor conditions
- Exposure to dirt, dust, bacteria, and farm-related environments
- Physical activity associated with interacting with animals and participating in farm experiences
I understand that animals are unpredictable by nature, even when well-trained or supervised.
Release of LiabilityI voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in activities at Hartland Oaks.
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Hartland Oaks LLC, Hartland Oaks Sanctuary & Education Center, Kristen Hart, Todd Hart, employees, volunteers, representatives, and property owners from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, injuries, losses, or causes of action arising from participation in farm activities, animal interactions, or presence on the property.
Rules & Safety
I agree to:
- Follow all staff instructions and posted rules
- Supervise children at all times
- Treat animals respectfully and appropriately
- Avoid entering restricted areas unless authorized
- Notify staff immediately of any injury, incident, or unsafe condition
Hartland Oaks reserves the right to remove any guest acting in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.
Photo & Media ReleaseBy signing this release form, I grant permission for Hartland Oaks to photograph or record participants during activities and to use those images/videos for promotional, educational, and social media purposes without compensation.
Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Hartland Oaks staff to seek emergency medical treatment if necessary.
Acknowledgment
By purchasing this package, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver and release of liability.
